FUTURE

Having completed the first phase of works, the Trust has established Shoreditch Town Hall as a vibrant community hub. Over the next few years, we will be working towards a second phase of improvements.

We plan to bring the main rooms up to full entertainment licence standard, so that we can host a wider range of community and cultural activities, including public concerts, dances and other performances.

  • PAST

    From medieval times up to the 1899 London Government Act the affairs of the parish of Shoreditch were managed by the Vestry of the parish, elected by its freeholders and it was as the new Vestry Hall that the building now known as Shoreditch Town Hall makes an appearance.

  • PRESENT

    The first phase of works has been carried out with the help of funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund, European Regional Development Fund and Bridge House Estates Trust.
