PRESENT

The first  phase of our renovation programme concentrated on essential structural works and the restoration of the original Victorian parts of the Town Hall to their former glory.

Since re-opening six years ago. we have been establishing Shoreditch Town Hall as an exciting, unique and fashionable venue for a wide range of events including award ceremonies, celebrity parties, film and photo shoots, launches, art exhibitions, design and fashion events and a whole host of meetings and conferences.

We have also become established as a very popular venue for local people to hold weddings, family parties, community meetings, workshops, classes, auditions and small business events.

• PAST

  From medieval times up to the 1899 London Government Act the affairs of the parish of Shoreditch were managed by the Vestry of the Parish, elected by its freeholders and it was as the new Vestry Hall that the building now known as Shoreditch Town Hall makes an appearance.

• FUTURE

  Having completed the first phase of works, the Trust plans to continue restoring Shoreditch Town Hall and enhancing its reputation as a vibrant community hub.  We weren't able to achieve everything we wanted first time round, so we plan to improve the Assembly Hall to allow more public entertainment events, redecorate other areas and improve access when funds are available..
